Łukasiewicz Research Network is the third largest research network in Europe. It  meets the expectations of business by offering a unique "challenge system", whereby it accepts business challenges and proposes to entrepreneurs the development of an effective implementation solution.

The Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals, operating within the Łukasiewicz Network, is the only scientific research center of the non-ferrous metals industry in Poland.
