Advantages and limitations of 3D printing (WAAM and SLM technology) compared to classic manufacturing

Description

Our service is designed to identify the specific needs of clients in the area of metal 3D printing technologies, using two key methods:

  • WAAM (Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing) – wire-based 3D printing

  • SLM (Selective Laser Melting) – powder-based 3D printing

This is a combined training and demonstration service, delivered using our dedicated demonstration equipment. It is intended for companies interested in implementing or deepening their understanding of advanced additive manufacturing technologies.

The service includes:

  • An initial consultation to identify the client’s needs and expectations

  • Selection of materials and preparation of the demonstration setup, tailored to the client’s operations and the capabilities of Ł-IMN

  • Technical training on WAAM and/or SLM 3D printing technologies

  • A live demonstration of the 3D printing process:

    • WAAM – using a 3-axis metal 3D printer

    • SLM – showcasing the precision and capabilities of this method
