Description

One of the largest technical universities in Poland. Established over 75 years ago. It is the winner of the competition "Initiative of Excellence" as one of the 10 best universities in Poland. It currently educates more than 18,000 students.

In 2018, together with the Katowice Special Economic Zone, it set up Poland's first Industry 4.0 Competence Centre, where an Industry 4.0 technology demonstrator was developed on the basis of the university's laboratories. The university's contribution to the DIHa Silesia Smart Systems are the results and achievements of the projects implemented in the Competence Centre, the Industry 4.0 demonstrator and the scientific staff. The university joins DIHa in activities related to automation and robotics, cyber security and additive technologies.
